Inspiring Quotes From Strong Women and Smart Leaders for Staying True to Yourself

March kicks off Women’s History Month, focusing the whole month to pay tribute to the many fearless leaders who paved the way for women’s rights as we know it today. Even though this is only officially recognized in the month of March, female empowerment and feminism are both things that should be celebrated every single day. As a woman, it can be overwhelming to stay true to yourself in today’s world filled with unrealistic expectations and standards to live up to. We all need the extra reminder sometimes that we are fearless and powerful. These quotes should help you feel like the leader and strong woman that you are.

Staying True to Yourself

Setting boundaries is crucial for staying true to yourself and having the time for much needed self care. Hope is a huge advocate for self care and always shares her self care tips and tricks. Here are some tips for staying true to yourself and what your needs are:
  • Learn to say no
  • Put yourself first and don’t always go out of your way to please other people
  • Let go of the negative in your life
  • Learn how to truly express yourself

“We both have spent our entire lives since childhood manifesting what we have now. Words and what you think about matters. We both have the ability to manifest with our thoughts and have to remind each other of that power from time to time.”

BAD MUTHAS Unite

Hope recognizes many women who embrace their roles as mothers and who are empowered through their roles each and every day. The BAD MUTHAS campaign celebrates all mothers and helps change the narrative of what it means to be a BAD MUTHA. Hope herself is a mother to four children and has received shame before on things she’s done in motherhood. All mothers have probably experienced it at one time or another but we’re here to tell you to embrace it! All mothers are BAD MUTHAS in their own way. Here’s some of their advice:

“Never forget why you started. That is your magic & what inspired you to do something different & blaze a new trail.”

"Everyday do something to push the needle forward."

"Be a BAD MUTHA. Know one. Raise one. Be one. Support one.”
