Together We Rise: Partners Help Lighten the Load

Together We Rise is a non-profit organization that has been working hard to improve the lives of foster children since 2008. However, all this work can’t be done alone. Just like the name suggests, together, we can rise to achieve great things.
Here are some of the organizations that have partnered with Together We Rise:

Smile Direct Club

Oral care company Smile Direct Club collaborated with Together We Rise to host two Confidence Camps in 2020 to help empower kids in care. The boys had a video game competition, built skateboards, and binge-watched the “Mission Impossible” franchise for a movie night. The girls had a spa day with pedicures and facials, and they tie-dyed shirts.
The day wrapped up for each group with a Zoom talk with a celebrity. The boys spoke with Collin Sexton, the point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Madison Bailey, star of the Netflix drama “Outer Banks,” spoke to the girls.

SHEIN

The fashion retailer, SHEIN, hosted their second annual virtual music festival, SHEIN Together-Fest on May 2nd, 2021. The fest raised funds for the retailer’s Light-A-Wish campaign. SHEIN asked their community for three causes that meant the most to them. Over 2 million votes were casted, with at-risk children as one of the top causes. SHEIN then made a $100,000 donation to Together We Rise.

Concrete Collaborative

In April 2022, Together We Rise looked to expand their headquarters in Brea to create a multipurpose space for events and resources. They set out to look for a reliable contractor who could be trusted with the vision for the space and its needs. Enter Concrete Collaborative. A family-owned contractor originally from Australia. With their commitment to sustainability, and their eye for detail Together We Rise opened a clothing shop for foster youth, the Rise Clothing Vault and their first coffee cafe at Together We Rise volunteer events.

The Family Fellowship Program

Hope and her husband, Robert F. Smith started their partnership with Together We Rise in 2015. This led into the development of the The Family Fellowship Program. The program was launched with support from Together We Rise and the Fund II Foundation, of which Robert is the founding director and President.
All of the Fellows are former foster youth who plan to attend a university, community college, or trade school to further their education. The Family Fellowship Program also offers fellows support throughout their college journey ranging from financial assistance, leadership development, mentorship, and more. Hope and Robert meet with the Fellows over the holidays at their ranch in Colorado, offering memories of a lifetime as the kids get to play games, enjoy snow sports, and even compete in serious karaoke competitions.

How You Can Help Together We Rise

While we’ve been shouting out some larger partners who help Together We Rise, you can do your part to help the agency provide support and aid. From starting a fundraiser or hosting a team building event, any support goes towards an amazing cause.
